What Would Robert Pattinson Do With His 'Cosmopolis' Character's Millions?

Based on what we know about Robert Pattinson, he's a fairly thrifty man. Even though he's one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, he's not afraid to save his pennies for the future. Heck, he didn't even want to pay for a publicist to help him on the "Cosmopolis" media tour where he'd inevitably be fielding some of the most personal questions of his career.

That's why we weren't especially surprised when we heard his first answer when asked what he'd do with his "Cosmopolis" character Eric Packer's millions and billions of dollars. We asked RPattz the question during "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," and he immediately answered with a laugh, "Hoard it!"

Hey, we'd do the same, though maybe after updating our decrepit 2000 Toyota Corolla and paying off our student loans. But it turns out that "hoard it" was just the first thing that came to Rob's mind because he doesn't really have any idea what to do with that much money.

"I don't know. Yeah, I have no idea," he answered, struggling for a good response. "Try not to become a crazy a--hole," he finally said. "I mean, that's what happens to everyone who has that kind of money. Probably give it away as quickly as possible and then immediately regret it."

"Cosmopolis" pushes Rob as an actor more than any of his previous movies have, and it also features him in just about every single frame. As a result, it took RPattz quite a few viewings before he could really appreciate his David Cronenberg movie.

"The first time I saw it, it was pretty tough because I was watching it by myself and you can't really separate it, but then I watched it with an audience for the first time and it was actually a lot easier," he said. "It's so David's movie that I don't really see myself in it. And also I love the words so much. I always want to speak like that actually. I really enjoyed actually saying the stuff. It's not generic dialogue."
